We’ll switch to a new server and IP soon.

The DNS “gun.fllistserver.com” will be updated so there will be no change required on your end.

Due to DNS caching it could be possible that you won’t be able to see all servers for some hours.

Hey guys.

There wasn’t any news in the last weeks/months cause the current FLListServer version works fine and stable.

I would like to add some statistics to the listserver. I’ve thought about thinks like:

- overall (client) usage per day
- unique (client) usage per day
- currently listed servers
- top crashing servers
- most stable servers

etc.

[Note: Beta 1 is finished but the project is put on hold for now]

As I still can’t access my source codes I have decompiled my own application in order to build in new functionality.

Sticky: How to use the new Freelancer listserver

You just need to modify your freelancer.ini in your EXE folder.

You’ll find the following line:
hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ; GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)

Replace that line with the following lines:
;hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ; GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry) hostname = gun.fllistserver.com ; www.fllistserver.com

Alternative:
Freelancer List Server Patch (installer) (requires .NET Framework)
Freelancer List Server Patch as flmod file

We are back

Our website fllistserver.com is finally back online.

The listserver and this page were moved to another (and bigger) server. The website should be faster now.
The DNS gun.fllistserver.com was updated to the new IP address so that no changes are required.

As may have noticed the listserver is back online since a few days.

I still can’t access my HDD so don’t expect new featuers or fixes for the listserver or FLMM in the near future.

Listserver “lag” issue solved

Several people told me about a “lag” issue by using gun.fllistserver.com.
It caused some kind of “frame-lag” while playing for some people.

This issue should be solved now.

Freelancer Mod Manager section

As you’ve maybe already noticed there is a new “Freelancer Mod Manager” category on the sidebar.

This blog will now also handle the FLMM development.

Beware that FLMM related posts won’t be displayed on the frontpage.

Freelancer Mod Manger 1.5 beta 1

I’m happy to announce the first beta release of FLMM 1.5.

I took over the project from Matthew “IGx89″ Lieder and will continue its developemnt by implementing new features and bug fixes.

The biggest addition in 1.5 beta 1 is the brand new mod updater.
Check the HowTo and FAQ in order to find out how to make use of it.

To make it easier to fix bugs I’ve set up a bugtracker which you should use for bug reports and feature request.
You’ll need to register an account in order to use it.

Usage report

Hey there.

I think it’s time for a short usage report.

The FL List Server is regularly used by about 60-70 servers.
I’ll check the client activity the next days and add it here.

Some general things:

FLListServer v3 seems to be pretty stable. No crashes or other problems occord up to day.

We got linked on the official MS Freelancer Fanlist page (click) which will hopefully attract new players to use the FL List Server.
