Due to no reported bugs and no major problem with the software, its time to close the open beta.

You are able to use the FLListserver on your client and server by changing the following lines in your freelancer.ini:

Replace:
hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ; GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)

with:
;hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ; GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)
hostname = gun.fllistserver.com

As you could have noticed, the GLS is back online since some days.

I’m planning some extended stats like players online, a crash top list etc.
If you have any ideas just let me know

Due to some RL issues I was unable to work on the GLS.

It should be back online soon.

For joining the public beta you just need to modify your freelancer.ini in your EXE folder.

You’ll find the following line:
hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ; GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)

Replace that line with the following lines:
;hostname = fllistserver.zone.msn.com ; GUN server in Redmond (DNS entry)
hostname = gun.fllistserver.com

This works for servers and clients. Feel free to add your server.

Known issues till now:

• The “update” button won’t work
• You won’t get a list after leaving a server

Feel free to report any bugs etc.

The GLS was tested for some days now.

I’ve simulated 115 servers for a mass test.

DFLS and HHC are connected to the GLS since Tuesday without any connection problems.

I think we can start a public beta soon.

I’m happy to announce that I’ve completed the software last night.

First tests ran smoothly but I’ll start some bigger tests soon.

I’ve started yesterday to rewrite the GLS in another programming language.

I’m happy to say that it’s nearly done .. I would say it’s done about 98% and should be finished during the next days.

Sadly there are no new news on the DNS matters.

I’ve heard from several people that there will be special rules for the GLS etc.

There won’t be any “joining” rules for the GLS and no servers will be blocked from the GLS list.

It will just work as the original one did without any human intervention.

I’ll start the publication of this site in some hours/days.
